Jean Paris graduated from the prestigious Arts Appliquées à l'Industrie technical college in Paris, and began his career as a jewelry designer at Cartier in 1946, eventually working his way up to Vice President and Director of Design for Cartier Inc. in New York.

After leaving Cartier in 1953, Paris designed for Van Cleef & Arpels and Trifari before rejoining Cartier in New York in 1969. Throughout his illustrious career, he crafted exquisite jewelry for notable figures, including the Duchess of Windsor, Elizabeth Taylor, and Barbara Hutton.
